Fabric & Finishing
Attention to detail continues to the very end. Our expert fabric cutter consults repeatedly with our head seamstress to ensure fabrics are sewn with perfect symmetry and balance throughout each piece of your custom-made furniture.
From welting and pattern-matching to dressmaker skirts and kick-pleats, we can personalize every last inch of your piece. Enamored with a rare button or a specific nailhead? Seduced by a baseball stitch or the flange detail on a cushion? We will fulfill any request.
Like every stage of craftsmanship in our Boston workroom, the fabric and finishing process is one that requires great skill, training and patience. Perhaps that’s why we’re so very proud of the results that our New England artisans produce.
Like a bespoke suit, McLaughlin’s made-to-order pieces are built to your precise specifications, down to the very last stitch.
